85 Unrequited Love – Unfinished Poetry That Hangs In The Air

Uncategorized Apr 05, 2025

Hello Beautiful Soul,

Some loves dont fit into the shape of a traditional relationship. They arrive quietly. Stay silently. And the love of this nature asks you to grow in ways you never expected. This is the love that lives between two people who cannot be together—not because there isnt love, but because life, timing, or circumstances simply wont allow it.

This love still matters, whether its due to emotional distance, a soul's illness, relationship status, or unspoken agreements that hang in the air like unfinished poetry. Its real. It shapes you.

This week on The Voice of Intuition Podcast, I share two very personal and healing letters:

  • One to the person you love but may never hold.
  • One to yourself—the sacred witness of your own beautiful, aching heart.

The first letter is a quiet offering to the person you care for deeply yet cannot share your life with. Its a release, a gift, and an honor. It says: I love you… and I let go in love.

The second letter is the medicine. Its a declaration of self-devotion. It reminds you: I am worthy. I am whole. I choose myself again and again.

Along with these letters, I offer a calming meditation called Loving Without Losing,” guiding you through breath, release, and reclamation. It helps transform longing into peace—and returns your love back home to your own heart.

Lastly, this episode holds a soul reflection that many need to hear:

Even if two people cannot be together physically, their souls may still walk side by side, whispering to one another through time.”

If youre carrying a love like this, please know—there is nothing wrong here and nothing wrong with you. Your heart is strong, broad, and holy. You dont have to stop loving someone to start loving yourself more deeply.

Listen in. Let your heart be seen. Let your soul exhale.

With love,

Laura

P.S. Your two love letters are below. Xoxox, ❤️

Letter to Them (Unsent)

Dear …,

There are words I’ve never spoken—so many of them—that live in the quiet between us. I’ve carried them like small lights in my heart, flickering, patient, waiting for a moment that may never come.

I love you. Not in a way that needs anything back. Not to possess or change anything about you or your life. Yet, it’s love. Steady and real. Sometimes joyful, at times aching. Always there.

There are days when being near you is a comfort, and others when it feels like standing in a warm sun I can never fully touch. But still—I wouldn’t trade the knowing of you, even when it hurts.

I honor your path, whatever it is. I honor the tale of why this love can’t be more than what it is. And I let go of any agenda that it could be different, not because I don’t care, but because I love myself too.

Thank you for being someone I could feel this deeply for. It has opened and enriched my heart, which benefits my world.

With quiet devotion,
 Me

Letter to Self

Dear Beautiful Soul & Self,

I see the love you hold. The tenderness. The ache. The strength it takes to carry a heart so full in a world doesn’t always give me a place to set it down.

I have loved well. And even when it felt like this love had nowhere to land outside of myself, it still mattered. I matter. I can hold love deeply––for myself and others.

This isn't easy—to want to give love when there’s no open door, no warm arms waiting. But look at me… still soft, still open, still brave. That’s grace. That’s resilience.

I don’t need to be chosen by someone else to be worthy. I was born worthy. I realize how whole and capable I am. This love I feel for this other reflects my enormous capacity to hold love, which does not reflect lack.

So I will keep choosing me. Let my own heart be a place I always truly am, inside and out, and I will come back to this letter and remember.

I love you––me, myself, and I, and I always will.
